Food Pantry
Southern Illinois Service Extension Food Pantry Information
The Salvation Army's Southern Illinois food pantry is accessible one time per month to anyone who lives in the state of Illinois.
We strive to provide a well balanced pantry bag of food. Our bags often include rice, pasta, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, canned fruit and vegables, soup, beans, cereal and bread. We also provide at least two frozen proteins, such as ground turkey/chicken, chicken legs, ground hamburger, etc.
Occassionally, we will have extra items such as milk, eggs, cheese, and butter.
Our goal is to fill our pantry bags with food that can make at least 3 meals a week.
Our Daily Bread Partner
For as little as $25 per month, you can partner with our food pantry and join the Daily Bread Providers Club. There are times when we need to purchase food so that we have a well-rounded food pantry program.
Your support helps us sustain food pantry operations, buy food and pay overhead costs associated with running a food pantry. In 2025, we served 7,518 families; 17,092 individuals; and 4,181 children.
