The Southern Illinois Salvation Army food pantry is accessible one time per month to anyone who lives in the state of Illinois.
We strive to provide a well balanced pantry bag of food. Our bags often include rice, pasta, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, canned fruit and vegables, soup, beans, cereal and bread. We also provide at least two frozen proteins, such as ground turkey/chicken, chicken legs, ground hamburger, etc.
Occassionally, we will have extra items such as milk, eggs, cheese, and butter.
Our goal is to fill our pantry bags with food that can make at least 3 meals a week.
