Youth Services at the Boise Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.
We understand the challenges and opportunities facing young people in our community today. Our dedicated local staff and volunteers are committed to creating a safe and positive environment where young people can learn, grow, and develop important life skills. Through mentoring, tutoring, summer camp, music programs, and recreational activities, we strive to help young people in our area reach their full potential.
Boise Salvation Army Sports Academy
In 2022, The Salvation Army launched The Sports Academy, our own fully funded program, completely free of charge for players.
Using the method, we've developed to make our programs accessible to players who were previously kept on the sidelines and building in new strategies to circumvent the existing youth basketball system, Troops and Soldiers was born.
The Sports Academy is an "All Inclusive," Basketball Academy, providing development from ground level. Our organization offers an elite training academy (Troops) and competitive traveling teams (Soldiers) at the youth level.
The Sports Academy has established itself as the first free competitive basketball program in Idaho, made for those wanting to pursue the game at a high level.
