Hunger Services in Boise
The Salvation Army is dedicated to alleviating hunger in our community. Our local office operates community food pantries to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need. We understand the challenges that food insecurity can pose in this area, and we're committed to providing a helping hand.
Our food pantries offer a variety of food items, including canned goods and nonperishable staples. Some even offer fresh produce. We work closely with local partners to ensure that we can provide a diverse selection of food to meet the unique needs of our community.
By providing access to nutritious food, we aim to improve the health and well-being of the neighbors we serve. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to the nourishment they need to thrive.
If you or someone you know is struggling with food insecurity, please visit our local office to learn more about our food pantry services.

The Salvation Army Client Choice Food Pantry provides families the opportunity to choose their own grocery items rather than receive a prepackaged box. Approved recipients may visit the Food Pantry every 30 days to receive fresh, canned, and frozen food. In addition, access to perishable foods every 10 days is provided when available. Food assistance services depend on the status of current donations.
The Food Pantry is funded, in part, by the City of Boise and is a critical partner in the Idaho Food Bank distribution network.
Please park on the northside of the building to use the main entrance to register and shop through the food pantry.
