Recreational/Sports Activities

• Recreational/Sports Activities population served:  Children develop self-esteem and learn the value of team work together when they participate in one of the many sports and recreational activities we offer.
• Recreational/Sports Activities program strengths:  Children’s emotional and mental needs are met alongside the physical needs of a child as they learn the importance of physical health/well-being and the positive benefits of exercise.

After School Assistance & Guidance

• After School Assistance & Guidance population served:  The Salvation Army creates many resources for youth and teens to reach out for support/assistance with common issues such as schoolwork, peer pressure, and family life.
• After School Assistance & Guidance program strengths:  Our after school programs provide a welcoming space in our community for studying, tutoring, and learning. We also have many opportunities for youth character building and mentorship that help give guidance as teens prepare to enter adulthood.

Summer Camps

• Summer Camps program strengths:  It is important to us at The Salvation Army that every child has the same opportunities to grow and learn as any of their peers. This is why we are so proud to offer many different summer camp programs for kids of any background to be able to join.

• Each one of these presents a safe and loving environment for youth exploration into these subjects that they can otherwise be prevented from experiencing.

Music & Performing/Visual Arts Programs

• Music & Performing/Visual Arts Programs strengths:  The minds of our future generations are beyond creative, and The Salvation Army loves to give outlets for this creative expression to come to life. Our growing music and visual arts programs are the perfect place to see this firsthand. We offer opportunities to learn and play instruments, sing and dance, as well as learn practical visual media skills. These are brought to our community through programs such as our music summer camp, music and gospel arts school, and after school lessons.
