2026 Toy & Ham Assistance
The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots partner to provide a free Christmas Toy Shop and ham for eligible Linn County families.
The registration website is called Angel Tree.
You will see the words Angel Tree on the website and throughout the registration process.
This is the correct registration system for the Toy & Ham Assistance Program.
Who Can Apply?
You may apply if:
- You live in Linn County, Iowa
- You have a child age birth through 14 years old on December 25, 2026
- The child is in your custody at least 50% of the time
- Your family is not participating in another holiday toy assistance program
What Documents Do I Need?
- Registering online? Upload your documents during registration.
- Registering in person? Bring the documents with you.
1. Proof of your name and address
Provide one of the following:
- A Photo ID showing your current Linn County address
- A Photo ID plus a current utility bill or lease showing your current address
2. Proof of Each Eligible Child’s Name and Birth Date
Provide one official document for each child. It must show the child’s name and date of birth.
Examples:
- Birth certificate
- Medicaid card
- Immunization record
We cannot accept Social Security cards, handwritten notes, invitations, ultrasounds, or similar documents.

October 26 through November 17, 2026
How Do I Register?
Online: Click the registration button below.
In person: Call 319-364-9131 to schedule an appointment.
What Happens After I Register?
- Check your email for messages from Angel Tree.
- If your registration is incomplete, it will be returned. Follow the instructions to fix it and submit it again by November 17, 2026.
- If you are approved, you will receive an email with your toy pickup date and time. Pickups will be December 8 or 9.
