About the event
The Community Voices Choir will present its second public concert following a 20‑week rehearsal series designed to engage seniors from the community through music, connection, and creative expression, with a focus on keeping memory sharp and supporting cognitive well‑being.
This collaborative program brings together seniors in a welcoming, supportive environment where consistent music‑making encourages social connection, mental stimulation, and joy. The April performance reflects months of rehearsal and community building through song.

WHY IT MATTERS
The Community Voices Choir is a partnership-driven initiative that uses music as a tool to strengthen memory, foster emotional well‑being, and reduce social isolation among older adults. Through a structured, long‑term rehearsal process, participants experience the cognitive and social benefits of sustained creative engagement, culminating in public performances that celebrate their voices and stories.
