2026 Fan Distribution

About the event

As we head into another summer, The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta is once again offering a resource to stay cool for those who need it. Extreme temperatures can be deadly, and many people do not have the ability to pay for repairs to their air conditioners if needed or live in homes or apartments that don't have adequate or any air conditioning. Others, who have air conditioning, are facing high energy costs and are in need of ways to lessen the financial burden that running their air conditioning can cause.

From late April until they are gone, Salvation Army locations are offering free electric box fans to those in need across metro Atlanta thanks to a distribution from a donor-advised fund through the Atlanta Jewish Foundation at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. The anonymous donor has given The Salvation Army this generous gift for more than 30 years.

Fans will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. You must live in the county you are contacting and show proof of residency. Please bring ID. See locations below.
