Hunger Services at Pasadena Tabernacle Corps Community Center
The Salvation Army is dedicated to alleviating hungerin our community. Our local office operates communityfood pantries to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need. We understand the challenges that food insecurity can pose in this area, and we're committed to providing a helping hand.
Our food pantries offer a variety of food items, including canned goods and nonperishable staples. Some even offer fresh produce. We work closely with local partners to ensure that we can provide a diverse selection of food to meet the unique needs of our community.
By providing access to nutritious food, we aim to improve the health and well-being of the neighbors we serve. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to the nourishment they need to thrive.

Housed individuals and Familes
- May receive food assistance once every 30 days, Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment only between 9:00 am – 11:45 am
- Must be housed and able to refrigerate/freeze food and have access to appliances to prepare food
- All the following is required upon your first visit and annually to determine eligibility:
- Photo ID for each adult in the household
- ID for each minor in the household (Medi-Cal card, school ID, or birth certificate)
- Proof of local residency in Altadena, Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, or Sierra Madre (such as gas/light/phone bill, current rent receipt, or mail postmarked within the last 30 days)
- Provide a statement of income within the last 30 days (paystub, welfare stub, social security printout, unemployment, or disability papers)

Daily Food Assistance
Donated food is made available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 AM – 11:30 AM
All are welcome to receive items from the daily food pantry
If you are a food box recipient, you may not utilize the daily food pantry and receive a food box on the same day
No registration/requirements necessary
Our inventory changes daily; Please be aware this may affect what is available to each client, as well as the quantity that is available to each client
Each client must remain respectful and polite to all staff, volunteers, and peers receiving services; Failure to do so may result in termination of services
