Our Mission Statement.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Since 1884, The Salvation Army has served the community of Grass Valley. Our mission is to help support our community by offering food, shelter, worship, and other vital services to those in need. Our Booth Family Center offers a variety of programs and resources to help families get back into a stable living situation, including job training, financial counseling, and family support.

We operate a food bank, providing meals to those who otherwise might have to go hungry. We hold church services every Sunday that are open to everyone either in-person or online.

We strive to be a vital part of the community of Grass Valley and host a variety of events such as holiday parties, food drives, and community gatherings that bring people together and foster a sense of comradery and unity.
