The Salvation Army offers in Anchorage, providing a fun and accessible way to play the sport. The Community Center features an indoor court, with amenities like restrooms and water. The cost to play is typically $5 for a three-hour session, and players are encouraged to bring their own equipment, although spare paddles are available. There is an age restriction (50 years and up). The Salvation Army's pickleball program not only provide recreational activities but also support the community by offering social services to those in need.

The Advisory Board meets every 4th Thursday.
The Salvation Army Advisory Board is a vital component of the organization, serving as the volunteer army behind the Army. It interprets community needs, advocates for programs to the community, and supports the Army's efforts to render effective service. The board is composed of a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about their community and dedicated to transforming and restoring lives. They provide valuable advice and assistance through their membership in organized groups such as advisory boards, advisory councils, and committees. The board's role is to be familiar with all phases of the Salvation Army's operations in the community, formulate plans for improvement, and make recommendations regarding fund-raising, community relations, program, and expenditures.
