Mission in Action: The Fulton Heights Senior Center

Jul 6, 2015

The Fulton Heights Corps Community Center is a place of refuge for people of all ages. The Community Center functions to provide activities, community and spiritual guidance to senior citizens as well as children and adults.

Senior citizen programs are offered in abundance – such as computer-use classes, driving classes, fitness classes, opportunities for socialization and a multitude of other options.
The Salvation Army organizes and hosts these events using the Fulton Heights Corps Community Center as its base. Volunteers and patrons alike are an integral part of being able to provide these services. Last year alone, attendance at The Salvation Army’s Senior Program toped 25,000 – a number attributed to providing classes, programs and services that helped to create a community based on independence, respect and hope.
