Awakening Events’ Drive-In Theater Tour Series This Spring Will Feature Artists TobyMac, The DiverseCity Band, Cochern & Co., Steven Curtis Chapman, Big Daddy Weave, Zach Williams and Mac Powell and Cain

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (March 10, 2021) – Awakening Events has teamed up with The Salvation Army to support individuals and families in need with three drive-in theater tours. The first will feature artists including TobyMac and The DiverseCity Band, with special guest Cochren & Co. The second tour this spring features Steven Curtis Chapman and Big Daddy Weave. The third Awakening Events’ tour will feature Zach Williams and Mac Powell and Cain. Awakening Events’ upcoming tours will support ongoing efforts to serve vulnerable Americans, particularly those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As with other recent Awakening Events concert tours, the performing artists will make contributions to the local work of The Salvation Army at each stop along the concert tour.

“We are so grateful for the support of Awakening Events and each of these incredible artists,” said Commissioner Kenneth G. Hodder, National Commander of The Salvation Army. “The Salvation Army is still responding to a tsunami of need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the contributions of Awakening Events will immediately help us continue serving individuals and families in recovery.”

The Salvation Army experience a volume of service requests in 2020 that greatly surpassed previous years, with many individuals and families needing assistance for the first time. Since January 2020, The Salvation Army has provided 225 million meals, 1.7 million nights of shelter, and 902,321 instances of emotional and spiritual care.

As the need for support remains greater than ever for the country’s most vulnerable, The Salvation Army remains committed to providing hope and help to those in need.

“We’re inspired by The Salvation Army’s commitment to meeting human need,” said Dan Fife, president and founder of Awakening Events. “We’re honored for the chance to support their continued efforts, providing basic necessities to those left displaced as a result of the pandemic.”

Grammy Award winners Zach Williams and Mac Powell will be touring with new, sibling band, Cain, starting March 25. A complete list of tour stops for Zach Williams, Mac Powell and Cain appears here.
