The Blue Valley Corps Celebrates Hispanic Heritage
In Kansas City, Hispanic heritage lives through language, music, faith, and traditions passed from one generation to the next.
At The Salvation Army Blue Valley Corps, that heritage is celebrated every day.
As the only fully Spanish-speaking Salvation Army corps in the Kansas City metro, Blue Valley is a place where families can worship, connect, and feel at home.
Through music and dance, the corps celebrates the cultures and traditions of the community it serves. And throughout the week, that celebration is matched by service to our neighbors.
The food pantry provides groceries to families facing food insecurity weekly. Every Monday, nearly 80 grab-and-go meals are provided to members of the homeless community. Rent and utility assistance helps families through times of crisis, while discipleship groups, prayer, and fellowship provide spiritual support.
And through programs tailored for our youth, Blue Valley is helping the next generation stay connected to their faith, their community, and their heritage.
This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate Blue Valley Corps, a place where culture is honored, neighbors are served, and the love of Christ is shared in the heart of Kansas City.
