DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES - On-site Position
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the development and management of an effective, efficient and state-of-the-art network of Internet/Intranet applications for web-based communications and online fundraising.
Develops and manages an effective, efficient and state-of-the-art network of Internet/Intranet applications that will support all online communications and fundraising; coordinates and manages all approved, national online fundraising initiatives; supervises department staff; facilitates the development and implementation of web-based technologies and strategies that effectively support the advancement of internal/external communications and online fundraising for all levels of Salvation Army administration and advisory organizations; collaborates with the National Community Relations and Development Secretary and the four USA territories; trains divisional and territorial users; works with the NCRD department staff in coordinating a strong branding message and encouraging utilization within the four Territories; manages the Online Red Kettle Campaign on an annual basis; coordinates technical needs and applications between the external vendor and the four USA territories; provides supervisory leadership in support of all NHQ operated web sites, participates in the development and execution of a long range plan that will lead to the centralized collaboration of all four territories in the management of a singular national web site for the Army in the USA; serves as the primary point of contact with all approved external vendors relative to the development and management of outsourced digital and electronic systems; moderate travel responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (Masters in related field is preferred); and five to seven years progressive experience as network administrator, network analyst, online fundraiser or similar internet-related experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. I-NET+ Certification.
